Whether you’re heading north, south or east, the seaside resort boasts a wide range of cycle paths for all levels of ability, to suit all tastes. To help you find the right itinerary, your campsite in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins will point you in the direction of the various cycling routes available on the Côte de Jade.

Vélocéan: the ideal way to discover the Côte de Jade and the Côte d’Amour

The Velocéan is a 140 km route that alternates between the seafront and the hinterland between Saint-Nazaire and Piriac-Sur-Mer (north of Guérande). This signposted route, dedicated to discovering the Atlantic coast, will take you to renowned seaside resorts such as La Baule and Pornic, but that’s not all! You’ll also cross the salt marshes and end up in Piriac-sur-Mer, a charming town full of character (note also the possibility of crossing the St-Nazaire bridge on the Lilas shuttle service between St-Brévin and St-Nazaire).

La Loire à Vélo

The Loire à Vélo is an 800 km long cycle route which, as its name suggests, follows the Loire River. From Saint-Brévin to Cuffy, this itinerary is the most popular in France, and it’s easy to see why! In fact, it takes you through many of the towns along the river, such as Orléans, Tours, Blois, Angers and Nantes, while you discover the châteaux of the Loire.

Eurovélo 1 or Vélodyssée: the itinerary for exploring the Atlantic coast

The Eurovélo 1 or Vélodyssée is one of 16 cycle routes proposed by the European Cyclists’ Federation. The Vélodyssée is actually only part of theEV1, but that doesn’t stop it from being France’s longest cycle route, stretching from Roscoff to Hendaye.

Eurovelo 6: From the Atlantic to the Black Sea by bike

EuroVélo 6, also known as EV6 or Véloroute des Fleuves, links the Atlantic coast to the Black Sea (Romania). With more than 4,000 km of itinerary following the Loire, Saône, Doubs, Rhine and Danube rivers, this is the longest cycling route from Saint-Brévin.
It takes you through several European countries: France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and finally Romania. For lovers of exceptional journeys!

(The Nantes-Brest Canal by bike)

For those wishing to discover the Loire-Atlantique and Brittany regions by bike, or for a gentle introduction to cycling, the Nantes-Brest canal is ideal! Although it doesn’t start in St-Brévin, this itinerary is no less interesting as it is particularly well-suited to families, thanks to its easy-going route, but also to its many characterful villages (Malestroit, Rohan, Pontivy, …). Allow one week to cover the 390 km.
