In Pornic, there are many small shops and boutiques worth a visit. Take a look, for example, at the Curé Nantais brand, an artisanal cheese dairy with over a century of history. It’s impossible not to end your visit with a tasting of this succulent raw-milk cheese! Visit La Fraiseraie, a well-known local strawberry producer, for delicious ice creams, exquisite jams and other fresh fruit products! La faïencerie de Pornic is also renowned in the region. Come and admire its authentic creations, and leave the store with a famous Breton bowl bearing your name!
What would Pornic be without its beaches and harbors? Stroll along the coastline and enjoy the sea air and small coves of this magnificent Pays de Retz town of character. The Sentier des Douaniers (over 14 km of trails) offers superb hiking and is an excellent way to explore the town’s treasures. You’ll enjoy stunning coastal scenery and panoramic views, as well as the fisheries, the emblematic cabins of the Côte de Jade. As you stroll through the seaside resort, you won’t be able to escape the sight of the majestic Château de Pornic overlooking the port. Relax on the beach, with your towel on the sand, and enjoy a swim with friends or family. Between Plage des Sablons, Plage du Porteau and Plage de la Source, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to relaxing in the sun or taking a dip in theAtlantic Ocean.

With so many walks, so many places to visit, and so much to do on the ocean, you’ll never be bored while you’re in Pornic. While we reserve the pleasure of allowing you to discover the town’s hidden treasures for yourself, we can’t resist sharing with you a few more of the activities that can be enjoyed on site.
Of course, you can expect to find plenty of water sports on offer in the seaside resort, and your camping vacation in Loire-Atlantique could be the ideal opportunity to learn (or perfect) kite-surfing, windsurfing or surfing.
Test your swing at Pornic’s golf course or try your luck at the casino. Take to the heights at Pornic Aventure, a perfectly safe accrobranche course with levels to suit everyone. Tyrolean traverses, suspended swings and monkey bridges are all on offer! A trip to the park is also an opportunity to stroll around the Val Saint-Martin pond. A peaceful, verdant spot well known to the people of Pornic, it’s sure to tempt you with a walk, a bike ride or a picnic. It’s also a perfect spot for fishing in peace and quiet.
As for Pornic, the town also boasts a number of interesting spots for fishing on foot, and you can bring your shellfish back to the campsite for a seafood feast!
