Before packing your suitcase, it’s important to know how long you’ll be away and where you’re going… In the mountains, in the countryside, by the sea – it all depends on where you decide to set down your luggage. If you’re going away for 3 days or 3 weeks, the size of your bags won’t be the same. Your Paradis Les Rochelets campsite in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins has a few tips to help you pack light and don’t forget a thing.

Tip 1: Make a list of things to take.
Your camping vacation is coming up… It’s decided, you’re off to the Jade coast! Before you leave, you’ll need to pack your suitcase. It’s not as easy as it sounds, so make sure you don’t forget anything.
That’s why we advise you not to wait until the last minute, at the risk of filling your suitcase with anything and everything. The first thing to do is to draw up a list of the essentials you’ll need to pack in your suitcases or backpacks. At the very least, for one week, you’ll need :
- your papers: campsite reservation, identity card/passport, wallet, credit card, health insurance card, driving license
- toiletry bag
- t-shirts and tank tops (easy to match)
- skirts, shorts, dresses (that you wear regularly)
- pants, jogging pants
- underwear and pyjamas
- some socks
- a pair of dress shoes, tennis shoes, sandals
- K-way-type waterproof clothing
- sweatshirt, fleece for cooler evenings
- comforter and bed cover (if not included in your booking)
- beach bag: flip-flops, towel, bathing suit, sunglasses, sunscreen (don’t forget mask, fins and snorkel!)
- a small first-aid kit
- a camera or your phone, charger
- a novel, a magazine and a few light board games (cards, Time’s up, Yam’s…)
- a tourist map of the Atlantic coast
Tip 2: Save space in your suitcase
Packing a suitcase is often a puzzle or a Tetris game. Once you’ve chosen the clothes that go together, roll them up to fit into your bag! This trick maximizes space. T-shirts, sweaters and jeans can be folded lengthwise, as they are “wrinkle-free”.
On the other hand, your dresses, shirts, blouses and lightweight pants are likely to have wrinkles. When rolled, they’ll never wrinkle. Opt, for example, for the “Japanese” method. This nomadic trick saves space!
Another tip is to put the bulkiest items first. If possible, wear the clothes that take up the most space and keep the lightest items in your suitcase.
All that’s left is to wish you a wonderful vacation! Your Paradis Les Rochelets campsite in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins offers exceptional pitches in a natural setting in the heart of the Saint-Brévin forest. Whether you’re staying in a mobile home, tent or camper van, we’ve got it all!
