Pornic is a beautiful harbour town, but also a charming little seaside resort 20 minutes south of Saint Brévin les Pins. It is particularly renowned for its beauty, its famous castle and its various harbours. The commune's territory is a unique blend of natural areas and breathtaking panoramas in the Loire-Atlantique. In addition to being a well-known and appreciated seaside resort, Pornic has an old medieval town full of anecdotes and legends to discover during your camping stay between Southern Brittany and the Vendée.
Many things to discover in Pornic
Pornic has many places and small shops that are worth a visit. Discover for example the Curé Nantais brand, a traditional cheese factory that has been around for over a century. It's impossible not to end your visit without trying a tasting of this delicious raw milk cheese! Visit the Fraiseraie, a well-known strawberry producer in the area, to taste delicious ice creams, exquisite jams and other fresh fruit products! The Pornic earthenware factory is also very well known in the region, come and admire its authentic creations and leave the shop with a famous Breton bowl bearing your name!
What would Pornic be without its beaches and ports? Take a walk along the coastline and enjoy the sea air and the little coves of this beautiful town of character in the Pays de Retz. The Sentier des Douaniers (over 14 km of paths) offers superb walks and is an excellent way to explore the town's treasures. You'll enjoy beautiful coastal scenery and views, and you'll be able to see the fisheries, the emblematic huts of the Côte de Jade. During your walk in the seaside resort, you will not be able to escape the sight of the majestic castle of Pornic which overhangs the port. Relax on the beach with your towel on the sand and enjoy a swim with friends or family. Between the Sablons beach, the Porteau beach or the Source beach, you will be spoilt for choice to relax in the sun or take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean.

You can imagine that water sports will be on the agenda in the seaside resort and your camping holiday in Loire-Atlantique could be the ideal opportunity to learn (or improve) kite-surfing, windsurfing or surfing.
Test your swing at the Pornic golf course or try your luck at the casino. Take to the skies at Pornic Aventure, a perfectly safe tree climbing course with levels to suit everyone. Tyrolean traverse, suspended swings and monkey bridges are all part of the experience! This trip to the park will be an opportunity to walk around the Val Saint-Martin pond. A peaceful and green place well known to the people of Pornic, it will seduce you on a walk, a bike ride or during a picnic. It is also a perfect spot for fishing in peace and quiet.
As for Pornic, the town also has some interesting spots for fishing on foot, and you can bring your shellfish back to the campsite to prepare a seafood feast!
