Saint Nazaire’s central covered market
The halles centrales are home to Saint-Nazaire’s biggest market, with over a hundred traders in and around the halls. The smells are as varied as the colors. You’ll find a wide range of quality farm produce, fresh and in season. The building, inaugurated in 1958, makes the place even more pleasant.
When? Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Where? Place du Commerce, 44600 Saint-Nazaire.
Paimboeuf market
Immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of this small, traditional local market and discover a variety of fresh, local produce under the covered market halls and around the Place du Marché. Also worth discovering are the quays, the lighthouse, the narrow streets and passages, and the magnificent mansions that recall the town’s maritime past.
When? Friday mornings. Where? Place du Marché from September to June, on the Quai Sadi Carnot in July and August.
