As well as being a well-known seaside resort in the area, the commune is famous for its Pointe Saint Gildas and its semaphore. It’s the perfect place to discover breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. This building, strategically located at the end of the pointe at Préfailles, was once a lookout post, responsible for warning the town’s inhabitants and defenses of any approaching ships.
