This summer, try flyboarding at La Baule near Saint Brévin

Why not take advantage of your stay at Les Rochelets campsite in Saint Brevin to discover the Bay of La Baule and Flyboarding? We’ll tell you more about this exciting sport to try out on the beaches of the Great West during your vacation in Saint-Brevin-Les-pins.

What is flyboarding?

Invented in 2012 by world jet-ski champion Franky Zapata, the flyboard is a wheelless, hydro-propelled skateboard that lets you fly over the water.

How does it work? You stand on a board connected to the turbine by a hose from a jet-ski piloted by a qualified instructor. This long, flexible hose redirects the water pressure to the Flyboard’s nozzles. This allows the pilot to fly, dive and pounce. Flyboarders can perform a variety of freestyle tricks. Fly up to 5 meters above the Atlantic Ocean.

Who can flyboard?

Accessible to everyone aged 16 and over, flyboarding will appeal to both sport enthusiasts and those curious to discover a new discipline. It does, however, require a good level of physical fitness. You’ll need to keep your legs straight to stay airborne. Before your 20-minute session, the instructor will give you a briefing to ensure that your activity runs smoothly. Make sure you understand these instructions and apply them as you practice this unusual sport.
