A permanent collection of contemporary artworks<\/h2>\n\n

From Nantes<\/strong> to Saint-Nazaire,<\/strong> over 120 km, 29 permanent works by contemporary artists can be admired along the Loire estuary. Initiated in 2007 by the Voyage \u00e0 Nantes<\/strong> (VAN), the route from Nantes<\/strong> to Saint-Nazaire<\/strong> begins on the north bank and returns on the south bank. In fact, there’s no real sense of direction! <\/p>\n\n

Each work accompanies a strong natural element, whether a little-known treasure or a historical landmark. Take the “Anneaux de Buren”<\/strong> on theIle de Nantes<\/strong>, initiated in 2007. They showcase the beauty of the Loire<\/strong> and the architectural beauty of the quays and warehouses. <\/p>\n\n

Let’s continue on the left bank, with “Misconceivable”<\/strong> the super-soft boat ready to fall on the commune of Le Pellerin<\/strong>. Erwin Wurm uses humor and the absurd to make the boat irresistibly drawn to the river. <\/p>\n\n

In Paimboeuf, on the<\/strong> right bank, Kinya Maruyama<\/strong> ‘s “Starry Garden”<\/strong> surprises from afar. Here, he offers another view of the Loire landscape. Before arriving in Saint-Nazaire<\/strong> to see Dewar et Gicquel’s giant “Le pied, le pull et le syst\u00e8me digestif”<\/strong>, let’s stop in front of the “Serpent d’Oc\u00e9an<\/a>“<\/strong> in Saint-Br\u00e9vin-les-Pins<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Located just a few hundred meters from your Les Rochelets campsite<\/a>, the skeleton of a giant snake emerging from the ocean is surprisingly large and realistic…<\/p>\n\n

The nautical and artistic event returns every 3 years! This major nautical and artistic festival brings the quays of Nantes<\/strong> and the towns along the Loire<\/strong> estuary to life, from Saint-Br\u00e9vin-les-Pins<\/strong> up to the town of La Divatte-sur-Loire<\/strong>.
